Missionary shares at baptism |

August 6, 2004
The first baptism service in the Kuman church planted by NTM missionaries took place in a swift and frigid mountain river. It roared and foamed as missionary Will Tallman shared from the Word.
Then, one by one, 18 Kuman believers gave a clear and God-honoring testimony of their faith in Christ and were baptized. Will and fellow missionary Ken White held firmly to the believers so they would not be swept down the rapids.
"Almost lost our co-worker, Ken, at one point." Will wrote. "Quite different from the heated baptismal in the church I grew up in!"
Will and Kelly's daughter, Kayla, and Ken and Kim's son, Benjamin, were also baptized that Sunday. The event was followed by a small feast and a communion ceremony. Praise God with us for His faithfulness to the Kuman believers.
