GROWING IN TRUTH
December 31, 2004
The Kuman believers are growing, encouraged by what they are learning from God's Word.
The new believers are reviewing Old Testament stories and discussing how they reflect what Jesus has done for us.
They are excited to see that just as God accepted Abel's offering, He accepted Christ's offering for mankind; that like Noah and his family were safe inside the ark, they are secure in God's family; and that just as God provided a ram to take Isaac's place on the altar, He provided Jesus to take the place of the world.
The older believers are studying chapter 4 of Ephesians a little at a time.
"All of the group have been impressed that God knows exactly what we're like and has given us the instructions we need to live a life that glorifies him," wrote missionaries Ken and Kim White.
Kuman believer Ruth said, "Every time you read it it's talking about me."
God is also working in the heart of Boni, a Kuman believer who recently was struggling in adultery. He has now decided not to take a second wife and wants to try to make things right.
"Isn't seeing God work in our hearts and others such a neat confirmation of his love and power?" wrote Ken.
Pray for Boni as he works through the process of restoration. Pray also for these Kuman believers as they grow in their understanding of God's love in their every day lives.
