RUTH NEW KUMAN SISTER IN CHRIST
November 17, 2003
"How terrible it would have been for me if you hadn't come!" said Ruth, a new sister in Christ among the Kumans.
The soil had been well prepared for Ruth. She had listened to several portions of Scripture as they were being translated, and had helped the missionaries gauge how well they were doing by telling them what she was hearing.
Now, with the evangelistic Bible teaching nearing completion, she heard Mark 10:45 and realized that Jesus was the Lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world, the One who came "to give His life a ransom for many."
Her eyes welled up with tears as she rejoiced in her Savior's love and the knowledge that she is His child forever. She now waits to see who among her friends and relatives will join her in the new life she has in Christ.
Other Kumans will be hearing of the death, burial and resurrection of Christ this week, the final days of the first phase of teaching, evangelism.
Missionaries Will and Kelly Tallman are trusting that Ruth is just the beginning of a great harvest among the Kumans. Pray that God's Spirit will speak to hearts as the Kumans hear the glorious message of salvation.
