Hardships getting settled into their new home have delayed the beginning of language study for missionaries Kit and Avery Putrakul in Cambodia.
"Because of the difficulties that we have experienced with water problems, power outages, flooding, as well as just getting moved into the house," wrote Avery, "we have yet to get into formal language study again. We ask that you would pray that these things would quickly be resolved so we can get down to the business of learning so we can communicate effectively. We so desire to be a blessing and be used by the Lord for His glory."
Kit and Avery desire to return to language study as quickly as possible and continue building relationships with the Cambodian people in hopes of planting a church there. But the week-long power outage and an electrical fire in the house, as well as flooding in the area, have taken up much of their time. In spite of these difficulties, Kit and Avery visit their neighbors nearly every day and have several close friends.
Pray for Kit and Avery as they settle into their home in Cambodia. Pray too that their lives will cause their Cambodian neighbors to desire to hear more about Christ.
