supporting church planters in West Africa

Alessandro was born in a Catholic home in Italy. When he was about 10 years old his older sisters began attending an evangelical church and took him to Sunday school. Here, he heard a clear message of the gospel and put his trust in Christ. As a young adult, he became increasingly aware of how precious God’s Word is and the difference it makes in our lives. When he heard of the many people around the world who don’t have access to God’s Word in their own language, he was challenged to be involved in missions. It was only years later that he learned of New Tribes Mission in England and went through the mission training there. After the training, he began to serve in Senegal in 2011.

Chantal was born in a Christian home in Quebec and at a young age she understood her need of a Saviour and put her trust in Christ. She heard a lot about missions at home and as a young adult she participated in Ethnos’ college-level mission program, Interface, in Papua New Guinea. While there, she became convinced she must be involved in bringing God’s Good News to those who have never had a chance to hear it. After completing missionary training, she began to serve in Guinea in 2003.

Alessandro and Chantal met in Senegal in 2011 and were married the following year. They have been blessed with two children, Samuel and Jolissa. They served on the church planting team among the Wey people of Guinea, where the Bible teaching has recently begun. They now serve in Dakar, Senegal and are part of the team supporting church planters in West Africa.
