The fledgling Patpatar church in Papua New Guinea is small but already helping reach a neighboring village.

A group of 20 believers meet for Bible teaching and to ask questions about their new-found faith in Christ. The meetings are vibrant with testimonies about what God is teaching them and how His Word comes alive as they read.

Now they are putting feet to their faith as they help the Patpatar missionary team with evangelistic Bible lessons in another village. Missionaries Butch and Tammy Kunzer and Aaron and Lori Luse are teaching nearly 100 people in a nearby village. The believers go with the missionaries each morning to ask review questions from the previous teaching and help with skits and illustrations. They also are available after the teaching to answer questions and tell the students what God is doing in their lives.

"It is very exciting as we watch them reach out because the village they come from and the village we are now teaching in don't really get along," wrote Lori. "This is a huge step as they help us in the teaching, and it is amazing to watch God at work as they come with humble attitudes to help."

Praise God with us for the Patpatar believers who are putting their faith in action. Pray that those who are hearing God's Word for the first time will understand and accept the Gospel message.
